Toronto, Ontario – The Automobile Journalists Association Canada (AJAC) has now announced the winners of the 2025 Canadian Car of the Year Awards (CCOTY).
The awards were announced on February 13, 2025 at the opening ceremonies of the Canadian International AutoShow--currently taking place at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre from February 13th to the 23rd.
Of the four categories considered, the Honda Civic was awarded the title of 2025 Car of the Year.
This is the second time in four years that the Civic has taken top honours, having previously won in 2022.
When considering the other categories, the 2025 Canadian Utility Vehicle of the Year is the Hyundai Santa Fe.
This year also included two awards for the growing electric vehicle market. The BMW i4 was awarded the title of 2025 Canadian Electric Car of the Year.
Comparatively, the Canadian Electric Utility Vehicle of the Year is the Hyundai Ioniq 5 N.
All four winning vehicles will be on display at the Canadian International AutoShow until February 23, 2025.
