Richardson, Texas — December 5, 2014 — Service King has acquired the US-based stores of Kirmac Collision Services. The deal only includes the locations in the US. Kirmac locations in Canada are still owned and operated by Kirmac Collision Services. Kirmac Collision is headquartered in Coquitlam, BC.
The deal includes 12 locations capable of servicing 2,500 vehicles per month. With the Kirmac acquisition, Service King now operates 209 collision repair locations in 21 states across the US.
“Entering the Pacific Northwest is an exciting step forward for us,†says Jeff McFadden, Service King President. “The integrity and vision with which founders Ian and Ken McIntosh built Kirmac Collision Services naturally drew us to their business. We’re excited to bring their team and the Pacific Northwest community into the Service King family.â€
Ian McIntosh founded Kirmac Collision Services in British Columbia in 1973 before expanding into Washington state in 2000. The company went on to expand across the Puget Sound region over the next 14 years and in that time built an impressive reputation for high quality, consistent and hassle-free collision repair services.
“Extending the Kirmac Collision platform and building our business over the past 15-years in Washington has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my entire business career,†says McIntosh. “In ultimately selecting Service King as the new owners of our company, I am fully confident that I have made the right choice and look forward to watching the Service King team in Washington continue to build further on our success.â€
Following the acquisition, Kirmac Collision has announced plans to significantly increase its presence throughout British Columbia.
Kirmac Collision currently operates 12 collision and autoglass service repair locations throughout the Lower Mainland. In March 2015, Kirmac Collision will open its 13th location in Maple Kirmac Collision ServicesRidge.
“Over the next five years, our goal is to double the size of our BC operations,†says McIntosh, Founder and CEO of Kirmac Collision. “We believe there is tremendous potential in this market to continue expanding our business around the Lower Mainland and into other regions of the province.â€
