Caliber Expansion: Network enters New England

Caliber

Caliber has acquired 10 Key Collision repair centres, giving the U.S.
collision repair provider its first locations in Maine, New Hampshire
and Vermont.

The Texas-based Caliber operates more than 1,800 automotive
repair and service centres under the Caliber Collision, Caliber Auto
Glass and Caliber Fleet Solutions names. The privately held business
employs more than 30,000 people.

The Aug. 31 acquisition expands the Caliber network into 44 states. The acquired centres are in Portland, Maine; Concord, Keene, Manchester, Nashua, Portsmouth, Rochester and Salem, N.H.; and Colchester and South Burlington, Vt.

“This expansion gives drivers throughout New England access to the
repair experience Caliber is known for,” Caliber senior vice-president
of operations for the Northeast Val Fichera said in the announcement.

Fichera said the Key Collision team’s record on repair quality and
customer service made the operation a natural fit.

The acquisition gives Caliber an immediate 10-shop network in a region
where Key Collision had operated for more than 30 years.

Financial terms were not disclosed.
