Jeff McGregor: Longtime OARA board member steps down

Sssdd

After seven years on the board of the Ontario Automotive Recyclers Association, third-generation recycler Jeff McGregor is stepping down.

“Jeff... has represented OARA professionally not only in his board capacity but also serving on three of OARA’s active committees,” said chairman Greg Woodbeck.

McGregor, who joined the board in 2019, will remain active within the association through service on three committees, maintaining a presence in its ongoing policy and operational work.

McGregor Auto Parts was founded in 1962 by his grandfather, Henry Alexander “Mac” McGregor, and expanded through the second generation before passing to Jeff and his brother Tim, who now operate the business alongside their families.

The company joined the association in 2005, aligning its operations with industry standards around environmental stewardship and responsible recycling.

Beyond his work in Ontario, McGregor has also contributed internationally. In 2015, he travelled to Sierra Leone, where he repaired water well-drilling equipment in a rural community, applying his mechanical expertise in a humanitarian context.
