Peterborough, Ontario — October 11, 2017 — The Women’s Industry Network (WIN) kickstarted its annual sponsorship campaign for 2017/18 this week, which will run until January 15, 2018.

The organization aims to encourage, develop and cultivate opportunities to attract women into the industry, while at the same time recognizing excellence, promoting leadership and fostering a network among the women who are shaping the industry.

Shellie Andrews, WIN board member and Operations Manager at CSN Dana’s Collision Center, said: “As we kick off our 2017/2018 Sponsorship Campaign, WIN is excited to expand its presence as an industry leader in the engagement of women in collision repair. We rely on the generosity of our sponsors to continue to fund educational and networking opportunities, not only for our current members but for students and future members”.

However, the organization depends on the support and generosity of individuals and organizations in the collision repair industry to continue its mission.

In a press statement released by the organization, Petra Schroeder, Chairman and Co-Chair of the Sponsorship Committee, said: “As an all-volunteer non-profit network, WIN’s growth, presence and effectiveness is directly reliant upon its membership, its engaged volunteers and its sponsors across all industry segments. We are grateful for the confidence and support the collision repair industry has shown. We look forward to cultivating repeat sponsorships but to also seeking new sponsor relationships this year.”

The organization, which has also launched its annual membership drive, reflected on what it called “significant examples” of progress during the 2-16/17 year, including; exceeding 500 members for the first time in a calendar year, the financial state of the organization, ongoing financial support from industry sponsors, an increase in its presence at industry events and across industry publications, the implementation of local and regional networking opportunities and a new technology platform selected to WIN’s infrastructure.

It also cited the further awareness to students, instructors and school administrations about the organization through Collision Repair Education Foundation (CREF) career fairs. Meanwhile, its successful WIN Scholarship and Most Influential Women (MIW) awards will continue into next year.

WIN said it is currently seeking corporate sponsorships to allow itself to continue expanding its programs of education, networking and mentorship. A variety of sponsorship opportunities exist to support the organization’s activities.

Sponsors will be recognized on the WIN website, in all promotional opportunities, signage and verbal acknowledgments during WIN member functions/conference, as well as WIN activities at many other industry events.
