Leesburg, Virginia — October 29, 2015 — The Women’s Industry Network (WIN) has announced the opening date for Most Influential Women (MIW) Award nominations.

Women working in any segment of the collision repair industry across Canada and the US are eligible for nomination starting November 2, 2015 through to Thursday, December 31, 2015. WIN membership is not a requirement.

With the aim to remain unbiased in the selection process, WIN has retained an independent consultant to interview nominees. This year the task falls on Margaret Knell, Director of Corporate Administration at I-CAR, and 2001 MIW Honoree.

“I am honoured to serve as Co-Chair of the MIW program for a third consecutive year and to witness firsthand how the program has evolved and grown since WIN’s acquisition,” says Knell.

The award recognizes women for their leadership in four areas: industry influence; professional accomplishments; mentoring and support for others in the collision repair industry; and for going beyond the requirements of their professional lives to give back to their communities.

Winners will be recognized at the Most Influential Women gala, held during the 2016 WIN Educational Conference, taking place May 2 to 4, 2016 at the Hilton Tampa Downtown in Tampa, Florida.

Established in 1999 by AkzoNobel, the MIW program has recognized close to 85 women who have enriched the collision repair industry with their leadership, vision, and commitment to excellence. WIN acquired stewardship of the program in 2013, and has since continued to help the program evolve to align with the organization’s mission to “enhance the role of women in the industry.”

The 2016 nomination form can be downloaded from the WIN website by visiting womensindustrynetwork.com.
