Sherwin-Williams announces 2015 first quarter training schedule

Mississauga, Ontario — December 9, 2014 — Sherwin-Williams Automotive Finishes has announced its 2015 first quarter training schedules. The company says the sessions provide collision repair industry professionals advanced knowledge in their field and the opportunity to receive an AWX Performance Plus Waterborne Painter Certification.

Courses will be held January to March in Ontario, Nova Scotia, British Columbia, and Quebec. Participants will learn through a combination of classroom, web and hands-on settings at Canadian metropolitan Sherwin-Williams Automotive Finishes training and university centres in Mississauga, Halifax, Vancouver and Anjou (Montreal). Shop owners, managers, painters and technicians can choose to advance their production-excellence and paint application techniques, as well as earn their certification for AWX Performance Plus waterborne paint application. There will also be classes offered experiencing the brand’s ATX Refinish system, and another program specific to its Jobber 1 course training.

“The AWX Performance Plus waterborne system is an easy-to-apply, fast drying basecoat that provides excellent color match while meeting the strictest VOC limits in North America,” says Bob Leibel, Sherwin-Williams Automotive Finishes Director of Canadian Sales and Operations. “It provides quick flash times between coats and requires a minimal baking cycle. Our classes assist painters and collision repairers to become acquainted with the waterborne process, and for those already familiar with the system, help them become
certified.”
