Detroit, Michigan — July 28, 2014 — A special display, “The Shop of Tomorrow,†has been announced for NACE 2014, taking place July 30 to August 2 at the Cobo Center in Detroit.
The aim of the new display is to provide attendees with opportunities to view and learn about the latest tools and technologies vital in handling the futuristic materials and sophisticated systems in today’s vehicles.
The Shop of Tomorrow will display a sample of some of the most current technologies and tools available today. Attendees will have the opportunity to walk through the “shop” and see some of the latest equipment available. Representatives experienced in each area of the “shop” will be available at scheduled times to talk about specific technology and what is changing.
The shop will include an office area for estimating, measuring, blueprinting, insurance services, and car rental. There will be frame equipment, measuring tools, welding equipment, a spray booth, a clean-room environment, carts, stands, lifts, safety equipment, low-VOC paint technology, drying technology, and more.
Shop owners and techs will have the opportunity to see these leading market technologies at many different exhibits throughout the show floor. However, this is a great way for shop owners and techs to get a look at a demo of a modern shop and samples of much of the equipment needed to repair modern vehicles, all in one place.
