Toronto, Ontario -- The Auto Care Association will host a cybersecurity webinar titled Reducing Risk and Enhancing Readiness: Practical Cybersecurity for Every Organization on July 31 from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. Eastern time.
The session is tailored for businesses across the automotive aftermarket, including collision repair shops of any size, and aims to equip participants with basic tools to strengthen their cybersecurity without requiring advanced technical knowledge.
Daniel Eliot (pictured) of the National Institute of Standards and Technology’s Applied Cybersecurity Division will lead the webinar. Eliot brings years of experience developing cybersecurity resources and outreach efforts focused on supporting small businesses.
The Auto Care Association is a U.S.-based trade group headquartered in Bethesda, Maryland. It represents nearly 4,000 member companies involved in the manufacture, distribution and sale of motor vehicle parts, accessories, tools, equipment, materials and supplies.
The association advocates on behalf of the automotive aftermarket, offers education and training resources, and works to ensure access to vehicle data and repair information. Its membership includes businesses of all sizes operating across the supply chain, including many that serve the collision repair sector.
Attendees can expect a practical introduction to common cyber threats, guidance on identifying suspicious activity and simple, effective steps for reducing risk. The webinar reflects the growing need for automotive service and repair providers to prioritize digital security as the industry becomes more interconnected.
