
Brantford, Ontario -- CARSTAR Brantford held a full-day training session on October 30 aimed at advancing refinishing practices and strengthening collaboration between insurers, fleet partners, and repair facilities.
The event, titled The Perfect Finish, took place at CARSTAR Brantford’s Copernicus Boulevard location and featured both classroom instruction and hands-on learning.
CARSTAR Brantford owner Sebastian Torres said the goal was to enhance industry knowledge and consistency in refinishing standards.
“Hosting The Perfect Finish event allows us to bring together our insurance partners, local repair facilities, and leading suppliers like 3M, Solera, and Color Compass to share knowledge and hands-on experience,” he said. “It’s about building stronger partnerships and ensuring we all deliver the highest quality repair and refinishing work for our customers.”
The morning session covered workflow optimization, masking operations, colour validation, variant selection and challenges in blending and colour matching.
Afternoon workshops included demonstrations with a virtual reality paint simulator, a polish clinic addressing common paint defects as well as sessions on inventory management and AI-based vehicle blueprinting.
Industry representatives from Color Compass, 3M, and Solera attended to provide technical guidance and answer questions.
The training concluded with a focus on production strategies to improve efficiency and repair quality across the collision repair process.
