News registration is open for the Garage and Bodyshop Event, a two-day trade show scheduled for June 3-4 at the NEC Birmingham in the U.K., has left some industry professionals booking transatlantic flights.
The event will feature more than 200 suppliers and expects to draw more than 5,500 professionals from the garage, bodyshop and vehicle detailing sectors, organizers said.
"Opening registration marks the start of the journey, and we're looking forward to welcoming workshops from across the UK to two days of learning, networking and hands-on discovery at the NEC in June," said Joanne Knowles, event director at Messe Frankfurt UK.
Confirmed exhibitors include Alliance Automotive Group, Autel, Bosch, Delphi, GS Yuasa, Hella, LKQ Euro Car Parts, MAHLE and ThinkCar.
The show will offer more than 80 hours of free technical training across multiple zones including a Workshop Theatre, Paint & Spray Live area, Bodyshop Village and Detailing Pavilion. It will also feature an Ignite Arena for students and apprentices, and a Business Management Theatre.
"The heart of the aftermarket has always been its people," Knowles said. "This event is about giving the trade confidence in the future, visibility of the opportunities ahead and a sense of pride in the skills that keep Britain moving."
The event is organized by Messe Frankfurt UK, which also produces Automechanika Birmingham. Registration is free and can be completed online.
