Some traditions become more meaningful with time. For CHC Paint & Body Shop Supplies, its annual summer picnic has become a chance to put business aside for an afternoon and bring together the people and families behind the company.
Under sunny August skies at Boyd Conservation Park in Vaughan, Ont., CHC hosted its eighth annual summer picnic on Aug. 9. Around 50 employees and family members gathered for an afternoon of pizza, games, prizes and plenty of time to catch up away from the workplace.
“We’re truly blessed to have our team well represented and very fortunate to be together with all our loved ones. So, thank you for everything,” said Pino Chiappetta, CHC president, when speaking to Collision Repair at the picnic.
The warm summer weather kept the activities outdoors throughout the afternoon, with games and friendly competitions bringing different generations into the action. An ice cream truck arriving at the park provided a welcome summer treat and added to the relaxed family atmosphere.
Now eight years running, the picnic has become a CHC tradition built around something simple: bringing employees and their families together and enjoying each other’s company outside of work.
