APT Auto Parts, a Burnaby-based aftermarket collision parts supplier, is celebrating the opening of its first Ontario warehouse in Grimsby on August 13, marking a significant expansion after 46 years in business.

APT Auto Parts is hosting a grand opening for its first Ontario warehouse on Aug. 13, marking the Burnaby, B.C.-based aftermarket collision parts supplier’s first expansion into the province.
The 6,500 square-metre [70,000-square-foot] warehouse is located at 270 Hunter Rd. in Grimsby, Ont. A grand opening will run from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., with Grimsby Mayor Jeff Jordan scheduled to take part in a ribbon cutting.
“It’s been more than a year of planning and setting up to get to this point,” APT president and CEO John Abu-Ata told Collision Repair. “This is our first warehouse in Ontario and we are very proud to show it off.”
Abu-Ata invited collision repair industry members to tour the facility during the event.
“Come and have lunch on us, and take a tour of our 70,000-square-foot warehouse in Grimsby,” he said. “Most of our senior managers will be in attendance and should be able to answer all your questions and inquiries.”
The event will include a barbecue and an exotic car show. Attendees can also enter a live prize draw for a 75-inch television, Blue Jays tickets, APT merchandise and other prizes.
Project manager Karl Hanna-Daher said the Ontario opening represents a milestone in the company’s expansion.
“We are incredibly proud to celebrate the grand opening of APT Hamilton,” Hanna-Daher said. “Since 1980, APT has grown alongside the collision repair community, and expanding into Ontario is a milestone 46 years in the making.”
No registration or appointment is required. The event runs from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Aug. 13 at Unit 3, 270 Hunter Rd. in Grimsby.
