CARSTAR Rawdon and CARSTAR St-Félix-de-Valois franchise partner Jessy Dufresne and her team raised $38,000 for Cystic Fibrosis Canada at the second annual CARSTAR Quebec Family Golf Tournament.
The June 4 fundraiser took place at Club de Golf de Saint-Hyacinthe. Dufresne organized the event with Ariane Gingras and Maria-Mélodie Jiménez.
Franchisees from across Quebec attended the event, which was held during CARSTAR’s Shine Season fundraising campaign.
The first edition of the tournament was held in 2025, drawing 180 participants, including 119 golfers, and raising $35,000 for Cystic Fibrosis Canada.
The Rawdon and St-Félix-de-Valois locations raised $5,200 for cystic fibrosis in 2024. Based on the public figures available, the two locations and tournament have raised at least $78,200 for cystic fibrosis since 2024.
UNIPIÈCE O.E.M., a Quebec-based original equipment parts brokerage, sponsored the tournament and hosted a pitching-wedge contest at the second hole.
The Quebec event is part of CARSTAR’s broader cystic fibrosis fundraising work in Canada. According to Cystic Fibrosis Canada, CARSTAR’s support for the cause began more than 25 years ago, after a franchise partner’s granddaughter was diagnosed with cystic fibrosis.
Cystic Fibrosis Canada reported in 2024 that the Driven Brands collision group, including CARSTAR Canada, CARSTAR U.S., Abra and Fix Auto USA, had raised more than $5 million for cystic fibrosis research, care and advocacy.
