Despite a morning of heavy rain, spirits remained high as participants took to the course, reinforcing the tournament’s reputation as a standout event on the calendar. As the day progressed, the weather improved, setting the stage for an engaging and memorable experience both on and off the course.
Golfers enjoyed a range of on-course culinary stations throughout the day, along with interactive activities and contests that added to the energy of the event. Among the highlights was the popular Beat the Pro challenge as well as the Doug Roberts “Happy Gilmore” Longest Drive Slapshot, held in memory of the respected franchise owner and long-time champion of the network.
The event concluded with a sit-down clubhouse dinner, where attendees gathered to reflect on the day and celebrate the collective impact of their efforts. Winners of the silent auction and 50/50 draw were announced, rounding out a successful fundraising initiative that generated $9,650 in support of RMH Canada.
Guests also heard from Korey Rorison, partnership & engagement officer for Ronald McDonald House South Central Ontario, who shared powerful stories of the families supported by RMH Canada. Rorison spoke to the strength of the ongoing partnership with Fix Network and the meaningful difference it continues to make, noting the organization’s recent milestone of surpassing $1 million raised in support of RMH Canada since 2016.
