Collision causes damages to auto shop

Toronto, Ontario — June 19, 2019 – When one enters an auto repair shop, they would never expect there’d be more damage done to their vehicle than before they initially entered, but for one driver, that wasn’t the case. But that may be because their car was projected through the storefront window.

Early Sunday morning, at around 12:30 a.m. two cars driving on Kingsway and 13th Avenue of Burnaby British Columbia collided, sending one of the vehicles spinning into the storefront of Edmonds Motors.

Witnesses say they heard a loud screeching and a bang, and many exited their homes to take a look at the damage. What they saw was a heavily damaged storefront and car-front.

Despite the lack of a front wall, window, and obliterated drywall, the RCMP reported that there was “no structural damage done to the building.”

Both drivers were taken to the hospital for minor injuries and Edmond Motors hopes to reopen their shop soon.

When it comes to whether or not they’ll repair the vehicle that caused the damage, Edmond Motors could not be reached for a comment.
