House of Kolor is marking its 70th anniversary in 2026 with a year-long campaign that will include product launches, industry collaborations and community events across North America.

The Minneapolis-founded custom paint manufacturer, established in 1956, plans to release eight anniversary colours alongside additional product innovations, while also rolling out digital content, technical school visits and appearances at car shows and racing events.

House of Kolor products are distributed through authorized channels and Sherwin-Williams automotive finishes branches across North America.

“What started as a frustration with an uninspired paint job turned into a lifelong mission to give artists and builders something better,” said Jon Kosmoski, founder of House of Kolor. “It’s incredibly rewarding to see how House of Kolor continues to evolve while staying true to the spirit that started it all.”

According to the company, the anniversary campaign will feature video content, interviews with painters and builders and collaborations with industry supporters. Additional initiatives include an exclusive custom-painted giveaway and expanded engagement with the next generation of refinish professionals through school visits.

“For 70 years, House of Kolor has stood at the forefront of custom refinish,” said Tony D’Acquisto, global vice-president of marketing at Sherwin-Williams Automotive Finishes.

House of Kolor first gained prominence for introducing organic pigment formulations and custom finishes such as Kandy Kolors and Kameleons, widely used in the custom automotive sector.

Anniversary activities and announcements are expected to continue throughout the year.
