Toronto, Ontario -- The Certified Automotive Parts Association (CAPA) has welcomed two new members to its board of directors following its most recent election.
Jeffrey Chen of Protech Automotive Solutions and Michael Quinn of AirPro Diagnostics have joined the board, bringing what CAPA describes as “diverse backgrounds and extensive knowledge of the industry.” Both are expected to contribute fresh insight to the non-profit’s mission of ensuring quality and safety in automotive replacement parts.
“We’re pleased to welcome our new directors,” said CAPA board chair Clark Plucinski. “Their expertise and perspectives will be valuable assets to CAPA’s ongoing efforts.”
Founded in 1987, CAPA is an independent, non-profit certification organization established to improve the quality, safety and efficiency of parts used in collision repair. The organization develops and oversees a comprehensive testing and inspection program for automotive replacement parts, based on publicly available standards. CAPA’s protocols are shaped by input from a wide range of stakeholders, including collision repairers, insurers, part manufacturers and consumers. The goal: to ensure that replacement parts meet or exceed the performance of their OEM counterparts while offering cost-effective alternatives.
Board members are elected by CAPA’s voting membership and serve three-year terms. In addition to providing strategic oversight, they help maintain transparency, fairness and technical integrity across CAPA’s certification programs.
