Toronto, Ontario --  PPG has launched a new software integration aimed at cutting inefficiencies in commercial vehicle repair.

The company announced that its AdjustRite commercial estimating platform now connects directly with PaintManager XI, its colour management software. The update allows repair data to transfer automatically between systems, eliminating the need for duplicate data entry and tightening control over material usage.

The integration is available to PPG commercial transport coatings customers who use both systems.

Doug Orr, platform manager for AdjustRite, said the goal is to remove workflow friction in a segment where job cycles tend to be longer and more complex.

“By connecting these two platforms, we help our customers operate more efficiently and profitably,” said Orr in a release.

PPG says the connection improves data accuracy by syncing estimate details—such as labour hours, materials and parts—with colour selection and paint room planning. PaintManager XI then uses this information to automate product choice, material input and mixing schedules.

The company also touts improved tracking and reporting through real-time dashboards that combine data from both platforms. That includes better visibility on job costs, material consumption and technician productivity.

Collision centres working on commercial vehicles face mounting pressure to control costs and speed up cycle times. The new integration is designed to cut down the time and manual work needed to move job data from estimates to paint prep.

The integration is part of PPG’s broader push to expand its suite of digital tools. Last year, the company added AI-powered colour retrieval features to PaintManager XI. With this latest development, it appears to be doubling down on automation and system connectivity.
