Driving Digital: Introducing AkzoNobel’s, digital Refinish+ coming to North America soon

Nashville, Tennessee — AkzoNobel has introduced Refinish+, a new digital platform designed to transform vehicle finishing businesses. Launched on Thursday, March 7 in Nashville, Tennessee, this tool aims to streamline operations, enhance efficiency, and boost profitability for body shops.

To do this, Refinish+ aims to provide seamless access to AkzoNobel’s suite of digital tools, including MIXIT, the cloud-based colour retrieval application, Carbeat, the state-of-the-art body shop production workflow application, and E-learning modules. This all-in-one platform is complemented by access to important product information and the option to add third-party software, with plans for additional applications in the future.

Designed to support independent collision repair centres and multi-site operators, Refinish+ supports business performance through digital transformation. It aims to optimize workflows and deliver good customer service to ultimately create a better workplace for employees.

With its customizable interface and personalized user experience, Refinish+ allows users to track key performance indicators relevant to their business. Additionally, the key feature is the insights dashboard, which provides analytics for real-time insights across all operations, enabling data-driven decision-making to optimize workflow and enhance the businesses performance.

According to a recent press release, using the Refinish+ Manager, body shops will be able to track and compare their performance against industry standards, pinpoint areas for improvement, and tackle various challenges such as paint and material profitability, cycle times, emissions, and energy consumption.

AkzoNobel will be introducing Refinish+ in phases to customers in North America, Australia, and selected markets in Europe in the first half of 2024.

“Refinish+ has been developed to help our customers to work smarter and drive efficiency with our full range of AkzoNobel Vehicle Refinish digital solutions in one place” explained Patrick Bourguignon, Director of AkzoNobel’s Automotive and Specialty Coatings.
