Hamilton, Ontario — May 19, 2014 — Collision repair industry evening meetings have been announced for locations across Ontario. Industry trade association Collision Industry Information Assistance (CIIA), is offering nine evening workshops that promise to inform and teach personnel and also allow for collision repair professionals to provide recommendations to the association to help address today’s issues.
Guest speakers will highlight the new Vehicle Security Professional program and the enforcement activities of the new Ontario College of Trades will be reviewed during the last year since their last presentation. Predictive Estimating is also on the agenda and 3M Canada will be updating shops along with a number of local suppliers that are participating. Hear about the new changes planned from Queen’s Park on towing, vehicle storage and inspection stations.
For the first time, CIIA will be introducing a special segment. During the evening event, the Workplace Safety and Prevention Services, will be delivering a mandatory training course called Health and Safety Awareness training, required to be taken by all managers and supervisors prior to July 1, 2014. This is required training that will be automatically delivered at the evening events and a completion Certificate issued that is valid for the Ministry of Labour.
