Conference Contribution:  Vin Match Pro sponsoring OARA event

Oara

A company that provides original-equipment manufacturer build data for more than 90 percent of vehicles manufactured in North America is sponsoring the 2026 Ontario Automotive Recyclers Association convention, signalling how central high-quality vehicle data has become to the recycling business.

"Welcome new OARA Convention Bronze Sponsor and exhibitor - Vin Match Pro.," wrote Steve Fletcher, the former executive director of the OARA, and a consultant to the Canadian automotive recycling sector.

Vin Match Pro has signed on as a Bronze sponsor and exhibitor for the 2026 OARA Convention and Trade Show, which runs March 26–28, 2026, in Markham, Ont. The company specializes in decoding vehicle identification numbers for all makes and models sold in the United States from 1980 to the present.

Vin Match Pro combines multiple data sources with original-equipment build data, which it says is available for more than 90 percent of U.S. production vehicles. For vehicles where OE build data is not available, the company uses machine-learning models to infer configurations and expand coverage, with the stated goal of reaching 100 percent.

Unlike basic VIN decoders that return only year, make and model, the platform is designed to surface build-level details such as engines, drivetrains, trim packages and factory options. That information can help auto recyclers more accurately identify vehicles, reduce incorrect part listings and limit costly returns.

The sponsorship comes as the Ontario Automotive Recyclers Association prepares for its annual convention, which has increasingly focused on data, technology and operational efficiency as recyclers contend with more complex vehicles and tighter margins.
