Toronto, Ontario — Applications are open for the Specialty Equipment Market Association’s (SEMA) 2025 scholarship and loan forgiveness program.
According to the organization, those who apply have the chance to receive up to $5,000 in order to help pay for college and university tuition and student loan payments.
The scholarship eligibility criteria includes:
- Be a high school senior or 18 years of age at the time of submission
- Be a United States or Canadian citizen (permanent/legal residents are not eligible to apply)
- Demonstrate passion for the automotive hobby and career
- Incoming freshmen or continued enrollment in college, university or post-secondary career and technology school in the United States or Canada
- Pursuit of degree or certification that leads to a career in automotive. All disciplines welcome
Additionally, the loan forgiveness eligibility criteria includes:
- Be employed by a SEMA member business
- Demonstrate passion for the automotive hobby and career
- Passes a degree or certificate from a college, university or career tech school in the United States and Canada
- Have a minimum of $2,000 in outstanding student loans.
