Edmonton, Alberta -- A well-known Alberta MSO has acquired its seventh location, CARSTAR Roper Road.
Earlier this month, the Johnny K Group acquired the 800 sq. metre (8,100 square foot, facility located at 5260 75th Street NW in Edmonton. Prior to the acquisition, the address was home to Speedy Collision South Edmonton.
The Johnny K Group was founded by its president, Johnny Kloeckes, in 1999. Under his leadership, the group has grown to encompass seven facilities in the Edmonton area, including a dedicated mechanical garage and a specialized express repair centre. The group now employs more than 85 staff.
In a social media post, CARSTAR welcomed the new location to the banner and celebrated its long partnership with Kloeckes.
The Johnny K Group is, perhaps, best known for its long-standing commitment to corporate social responsibility. The organization supports Cystic Fibrosis Canada through its participation in the annual Walk to Make Cystic Fibrosis History and its coordination of Shine Month every June. To date, it has raised in excess of $4 million for the cause. The group also sponsors a variety of local athletic programs and teams, reflecting its broader commitment to the communities in which it operates.
