Toronto, Ontario -- The Certified Collision Group, a membership network for independent collision centres in the U.S. and Canada is being sold.
The network, which operates on a subscription-based model providing independent collision repair facilities with access to insurer programs, OEM certification support, performance management tools and vendor rebate arrangements is being sold by Incline Equity Partners to the Riverside Company, a Cleveland-based private equity firm focuses on smaller middle-market businesses. The terms of the deal have not been disclosed.
Founded in 2004, CCG has positioned itself as an alternative to traditional franchise systems, allowing shops to retain independent ownership while participating in a national network. Over the past decade, it has expanded to more than 1000 affiliated repair locations across North America. At the time of Incline’s acquisition of the company in 2022, the network comprised fewer than eight hundred locations. Expansion under Incline included entry into Canada and the addition of complementary services through acquisitions focused on performance management, marketing and data analytics.
Tom Ritchie, a partner at Incline, said revenue more than doubled during the firm’s ownership period, driven by organic growth and two acquisitions. He said Incline worked closely with Certified Collision Group’s leadership to strengthen management, invest in technology and broaden sales capabilities.
Michelle Sullivan, who became chief executive officer of Certified Collision Group in early 2024, said the company developed a proprietary data platform during Incline’s ownership to improve purchasing visibility and identify growth opportunities for member shops and vendor partners. Sullivan previously held senior roles in the automotive coatings and collision supply sector.
