Toronto, Ontario -- Lucid Motors has joined the Society of Collision Repair Specialists (SCRS) as a corporate member, adding an electric-vehicle manufacturer to the organization’s roster of industry partners.
The membership was announced in a release from SCRS, which described the addition of Lucid as a step toward stronger collaboration between automakers and the repair sector. Corporate members are able to take part in association programs and discussions shaping industry standards.
“Organizations like SCRS provide an essential forum for OEMs and repairers to come together and share knowledge,” said David Wilcox, senior manager of body repair program operations, in the release. “Being part of SCRS allows us to listen, learn and support the collective goal of raising the bar for safe, high-quality collision repair across the industry.”
SCRS represents more than 6,000 collision businesses and about 60,000 repair professionals through direct memberships and affiliated associations. The group focuses on advocacy, education and raising professional standards across the trade.
Lucid, based in California and with facilities in Canada, builds luxury electric vehicles with an emphasis on performance and efficiency. Its membership signals growing interest among automakers in aligning with repair networks to address the demands of advanced vehicle technologies.
