Expansion Rumours: CarrXpert heading West?

Carrxpert

Toronto, Ontario -- A dealer-affiliated collision repair network based in Quebec is planning to expand into Ontario and B.C.

In a recent interview with the French-language publication Affaires automobiles, CarrXpert general manager Jean-François Gargya teased expansion plans, saying the company was looking to enter Canada’s most populous and third-most populous provinces.

Launched by the Corporation des concessionnaires automobiles du Québec in 2001, CarrXpert has become one of Quebec’s largest dealer and collision repair networks, operating 180 repair centres and more than 340 dealers. Outside of its home province, it also operates dozens of dealerships and collision repair facilities in Manitoba and Saskatchewan.

This isn't the first time CarrXpert has announced cross-Canada expansion plans. In 2016, the company announced plans to operate more than 400 collision centres and 1,000 dealerships within five years. These plans failed to materialize.

Collision Repair made several attempts to contact CarrXpert for more information about the expansion plan. At the time of publication, the company had not responded to the magazine's inquiries.
