Skilled Trades Ontario will host the third annual Ontario Apprenticeship Summit on Nov. 4, 2026, at the Toronto Congress Centre, bringing together industry partners, skilled trades professionals and apprentices during National Skilled Trades and Technology Week.

The one-day event is built around the theme Advancing Trades. Accelerating Tomorrow. and is expected to focus on workforce development, apprenticeship growth and long-term sector capacity across Ontario’s skilled trades system.

“The Ontario Apprenticeship Summit has become an important moment for our sector to come together, exchange ideas and chart a path forward,” said Candice White, CEO of Skilled Trades Ontario. “Advancing trades and accelerating tomorrow means investing in the people.”

Organizers note the summit continues to expand as demand grows for coordinated industry engagement and clearer pathways into apprenticeship programs across the province.

This year’s program will also include an expanded awards presentation recognizing excellence across multiple areas of the trades system. Alongside the Minister’s Outstanding Journeyperson Award, STO will introduce three additional honours: the STO Award of Excellence, a new Outstanding Apprentice Award presented to apprentices across each of the four regions of the province, and a new Trades Safety Champion Award.
