New software may spell the end of distracted driving

Distracted drivers are three times more likely to be in a crash than attentive drivers, according to statistics from Alberta Transportation. Researchers at the University of Waterloo have developed new algorithms that can detect when drivers are engaged in distracting activities such as texting.
