Social Strategy: Blogger from B.C. calls on Ford Canada for Bronco campaign

North Vancouver, British Columbia — A dad-blogger living in North Vancouver put out a public campaign pitch to Ford Canada on Monday, asking the automaker to give him “a really cool car” more specifically a Ford Bronco Sport.

In the minute and twenty second video posted on his twitter page, James Smith aka SocialDad, offers to drive the automakers all-new Ford Bronco Sport around beautiful British Columbia, with his family “in-tow, of course”, as part of the brand’s 2021 campaign.

“The premise is that we would go exploring British Columbia, and all the places that are cool, and all the different coves and hikes and things that are mysterious and cool towns,” Smith pitches in the video. “So what I’m thinking is you give me, and hear me out, a really cool car – a Ford Bronco Sport and I take lots of cool pictures of it while exploring and everyone goes ‘we should get a Ford Bronco Sport’.”

With over 700,000 kilometers of roads in BC, Smith and his family take finding the right family vehicle seriously. As a long-time Ford Bronco fan, Smith knew that this choice of vehicle would satisfy all his needs from plenty of cabin room, to fitting the entire family’s luggage and the ability to tackle the toughest BC terrain.

Smith signs off the video by declaring, “I’m convinced, how about you? Please?”

The blogger took to Twitter again shortly after he posted the video to assure people that if he is successful in his campaign call that he and his family will take all appropriate safety measures, even if it means holding off exploring until it’s safe to do so.
