Repairer Raffle: SCRS announces prizewinner from 2019 SEMA Show

Toronto, Ontario — On Nov. 8, the Society of Collision Repair Specialists (SCRS) conducted its annual prize raffle from its booth at the 2019 SEMA Show, where the company gave away a Spanesi Touch Electronic Measuring System, including one year of Spanesi Touch Electronic Measuring System vehicle data⁠.

 

This winner of this year’s prize was Josh Shaw of Shannon’s Auto Body in Brainerd, Minn.

 

Shannon’s Auto Body was started by Shannon Christian in 1996 and has since grown into a 17,000 sq. ft. facility. Christian says the shop’s 20 employees always strive to utilize the latest in auto repair technology. The shop staff features ASE Certified technicians, who are proud to be an I-CAR Gold Class facility and one of the proud new Platinum Members of SCRS after joining in the booth at the SEMA Show.

 

To be eligible for the prizewinning draw, Shaw, Christian and other visitors to the SCRS booth had to pick up a report card listing all the exhibiting sponsors of SCRS’s Repairer Driven Education, visit each of the booths within the show, and returned the completed report card to the SCRS booth for final entry into the drawing.

 

“I was blown away when I got the call that we won,” said Shannon Christian. “The number one thing that I wanted to purchase at the SEMA Show this year was that touch system. We spent a lot of time Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday shopping on the show floor, and planning out equipment needs for a shop expansion I’m working on; I’ve actually been researching that specific system for two years now. We want to use it for blueprinting, increasing production and pre- and post-repair inspections. Winning it frees me up to invest in some of the other equipment I’ve had my eye on as well.”
