Production Power-up: Global Finishing Solutions unveils Booth Connect Remote Monitoring System

Osseo, Wisconsin — At this year’s SEMA Show, Global Finishing Solutions unveiled its Booth Connect Remote Monitoring System with the intention of upgrading automotive body shops’ remote accessing and monitoring capabilities.

According to a recent press release, Global Finishing Solutions (GFS) is proud to introduce Booth Connect, a patent-pending technology that promotes remote access and monitoring for paint booths from the convenience of a convenience, tablet or smartphone.

Booth Connect aims to enable automotive body shops to attain real-time visibility into their filter loading, production levels and paint booth usage data. With the patent-pending technology, painters, paint shop managers, owners and corporate decision-makers can view, report and track booth performance from anywhere at any time.

Moreover, the press release highlights how Booth Connect can allow for on-demand insights into booth cycles, filter loading and power usage trends, allowing shops to build a portfolio-level dashboard and KPIs, while also offering knowledge to keep equipment running at peak performance.

Booth Connect is further designed to integrate seamlessly with paint booths produced by GFS or any other major paint booth manufacturer. Featuring online dashboards that consolidate information from individual paint booths to a company’s entire portfolio, Booth Connect stores information in the Cloud and offers real-time information on cycle counts, energy usage and other helpful measurements.

Global Finishing Solutions writes that the aim of Booth Connect is “to empower management teams to track, monitor and increase shop efficiency output.”

“By consistently monitoring filter loading, shops can easily pinpoint the right time to change their paint booths’ filters — eliminating unnecessary downtime and potential damage to a booth’s ductwork or fans caused by delayed maintenance. Booth Connect also automatically logs filter changes, so shops no longer need to manually log and store filter test sheets to stay in compliance with the EPA’s 6H rule. In addition, Booth Connect can send notifications if a paint booth enters an alarmed state or loses connectivity, potentially protecting a business’ assets.”
