Toronto, Ontario -- Volvo issued a recall for 113 2024-2024 Polestar 2s on June 17, 2025, over a software problem that could cause a loss of brakes, increasing the risk of a crash.
Transport Canada Recall # 2025-333 was last updated on June 26, and Polestar recommends not using the One Pedal Drive mode until recall repairs are completed.
Polestar will be notifying owners by mail in addition to sending a “wireless over-the-air software update for the brake control module software.” Owners have the alternative option of scheduling an appointment at a Polestar dealership to have the update performed.
Polestar dealerships in Canada with service points are located in Ville de Québec, Montreal, Ottawa, Uptown Toronto and Vancouver.
