Remember the Name: Nominate the next inductee into SEMA’s Hall of Fame

Diamond Bar, California — On Jan. 26, 2021, SEMA announced that they are now accepting nominations for the Hall of Fame award. 

SEMA established the Hall of Fame award in 1969 to honour the outstanding persons in the automotive specialty industry whose creativity, dignity, integrity, industriousness, and accomplishments, on a national basis. 

“It is designed to honor the leaders who transformed small, burgeoning businesses into an industry worth more than $46.2 billion annually,” according to the press release. 

The deadline to nominate an individual “who epitomizes the essence of ingenuity in action,” is Friday, March 19, 2021. 

There are guidelines for who can be nominated, which is outlined on the SEMA Hall of Fame website, here. 

Canadians are also welcomed to nominate or be nominated as long as the rest of the qualifications are followed. 

“We do accept nominations from Canada. There are other specific guidelines, as stated on the nomination page, but there’s nothing against someone born in Canada,” commented Lindsay Bianco, senior manager, membership projects
