Vaughan, Ontario -- It was a day of precision, innovation, and hands-on learning as CHC Paint & Body Shop Supplies partnered with PPG Canada to host a special event on March 20, giving local bodyshops an exclusive look at PPG’s MoonWalk® automated mixing system.
The event brought together shop owners from across the region to CHC’s facility, where PPG’s representatives showcased the technology behind MoonWalk and demonstrated its impact on paint mixing accuracy, efficiency, and profitability.
PPG’s MoonWalk system is designed to eliminate human error from the mixing process, delivering precise measurements down to the 1/100th of a gram. Featuring an enclosed automated mixing environment, MoonWalk reduces waste, improves colour matching, and frees up valuable time for painters—allowing them to focus more on repairs and less on mixing.
Attendees were able to watch live demos of the system in action, ask questions, and see firsthand how the MoonWalk system could fit into their own operations. “This is a game-changer for any shop looking to improve consistency and control costs,” said Keith Chapman, National Manager Refinish PPG Canada. “From reducing product waste to cutting down on rework, MoonWalk offers measurable improvements.”
