Kirmac Collision & Autoglass has tapped collision repair veteran Ryan Wuthe to lead the team at its new 5,388 sq. m (58,000 sq. ft.) facility in Penticton, B.C.
Wuthe has joined the Coquitlam, B.C.-based family-owned collision and autoglass repair network as general manager of the shop at 201 Rosetown Ave. He brings about 15 years of collision repair experience, including previous work with Boyd Autobody.
“I jumped on board because I wanted to be part of this project in my hometown,” Wuthe told Collision Repair magazine. “I know the Kirmac name, what they stand for and what they do for the community.”
The collision and autoglass centre opened on July 20, extending Kirmac’s presence into the South Okanagan.
The facility opened with two body technicians, one painter, one detailer, one estimator and Wuthe as general manager.
Wuthe said the 58,000 sq. ft. [5,388 sq. m] shop has been equipped with a Car-O-Liner structural repair system and Global Finishing Solutions XE and XL paint booths.
“It has just about everything,” Wuthe said. “They have put in the best of the best.”
The shop also includes a PPG MoonWalk automated paint mixing system, which measures and dispenses the products required for each colour formula.
Wuthe said he had not worked with the system before joining the Penticton operation.
“I had never seen one before,” he said. “It’s day three, and it is definitely going to be a time saver.”
The Penticton opening continues Kirmac’s expansion through British Columbia’s Interior.
The company added collision repair facilities in Kelowna, Vernon and Kamloops through a 2025 agreement with Bannister Automotive Group. The agreement also added a Chilliwack location in the Fraser Valley.
Kirmac opened another 1,115 sq. m (12,000 sq. ft.) collision and glass repair centre in Mission in June.
The Penticton facility offers collision repair and autoglass services and operates from Monday to Friday.
