Automotive equipment manufacturer Challenger Lifts announced its new Adapter Cart, a mobile storage solution for essential lift accessories on Tuesday.
Built to streamline workflow in busy automotive service bays by keeping adapters, footpads and spacers where technicians need them, the Adapter Cart is meant to help shops reduce setup time, minimize downtime and maintain a clean, efficient working environment.
“Designed for the realities of a fast-paced shop, the Adapter Cart moves easily from bay to bay, eliminating wasted steps and unnecessary trips across the shop floor,” said Trevor Coleman, national sales manager for Challenger Lifts, in the press release. “The cart is designed for shops that service a wide variety of vehicles, giving technicians the assortment of adapters they need to be prepared to lift virtually any vehicle safely and correctly. By consolidating everything needed for safe, efficient lifting into one centralized, mobile unit, technicians can stay focused on the job rather than searching for equipment. It is a simple solution, but it makes a real difference in day-to-day productivity.”
The Adapter Cart offers centralized storage for essential lifting accessories, creating faster setup and fewer interruptions between jobs. Furthermore, the accessory cart is at the core of the system, equipped with components to address varied lifting requirements.
The kit includes four six-inch stack adapters and four three-inch stack adapters. The six-inch adapters serve as drop-in extensions for vehicles equipped with running boards or side steps, while the three-inch adapters are ideal for moderate height adjustments when accessing vehicle lifting points.
Also included is a set of four electric vehicle foot pads engineered to safely support select EVs by protecting sensitive battery and chassis components. The cart also has four cab-off adapters, designed for safely lifting truck cabs from frames, featuring U-channel pads that cradle pinch welds, providing stability and protection during cab removal.
Its GM footpad set offers custom wide-frame footpads for 2019-2026 GM half-ton pickup trucks, which also fit Cadillac, Chevrolet and GMC trucks. The Adapter Cart also includes rubber spacers for fine height adjustments and contact-point protection, in addition to two three-stage arms for low-profile vehicle access and four replacement footpads.
