Toronto, Ontario -- Insurance Auto Auctions, a subsidiary of RB Global, is expanding its presence in Latin America through a new alliance with Auto Traders of America in Guatemala.
The partnership will see ATA operate a local auction centre offering buyers access to vehicles listed on IAA’s global marketplace. The facility will allow Guatemalan customers to browse and purchase inventory while receiving on-the-ground support throughout the buying process.
“This alliance represents an important step in deepening our presence in Latin America,” said David Rymarz, senior vice-president and head of IAA Marketplace, in the release.
According to IAA, the move is part of a broader strategy to streamline cross-border transactions and improve access to U.S. vehicle inventory for buyers in emerging markets. ATA head of operations John Molina said in the release that the partnership will make it easier for local customers to participate in IAA’s auctions with regional support.
The Guatemala facility marks IAA’s latest step in strengthening its network across Latin America, following recent expansions in Mexico and Brazil. RB Global said the alliance reflects its commitment to growing marketplace offerings and service capabilities worldwide, though the company noted results remain subject to regional economic and regulatory conditions.
