Kelowna, British Columbia – The Boyd Autobody & Glass Father’s Day Charity Car Show took place last weekend, bringing car enthusiasts together for some rainy-day family festivities.

The event returned after a two-year hiatus with a goal to raise funds for charities in the Okanagan region. Attendees powered through the rain with umbrellas out, strolling through a gallery of vehicles; old and new.

Dozens of vehicles sat on display, not only from companies showing off the latest tech but also enthusiasts showing off their personal rides. Vintage automobiles, modern electric vehicles (EVs) and even classic cars with EV engine blocks.

According to Tourism Kelowna, Boyd has contributed over $142,000 to the Child Advocacy Centre, an agency that assists child survivors of abuse and neglect.

The show is expected to raise a total of $150,000 with the raffle going for $61,000, said a Boyd autobody shop owner interviewed by Kelowna Capital News.
