Vancouver, British Columbia — The punishment coming to him from the law is likely the least of one 17 year old Vancouverite’s worries after he was was pulled over doing 11km/h in a 50 zone—with his parent in the passenger seat.

In addition to the inevitable scoldings and lectures about life choices and integrity, the Class L (Learner) licensed driver is facing a seven day vehicle impound, as well as a $483 fine for excessive speeding.

In what has apparently become a trend in law enforcement, Sgt. Mark Christensen of the Vancouver Police Department Traffic Unit took to Twitter to further shame the child.
