Toronto, Ontario -- ISB Global Services and CARFAX Canada have expanded their partnership to deliver VIN Scan technology to major Canadian auto insurers.
The integration brings CARFAX Canada’s VIN Scan feature into ISB Global’s platform, giving underwriters and special investigation units earlier access to data that can help detect fraudulent or cloned vehicle identification numbers, undisclosed damage and lien conflicts.
ISB Global already supplies CARFAX Canada vehicle history and lien reports to its customers. The new step extends that relationship to include VIN fraud detection tools directly within insurer workflows.
“Our collaboration with CARFAX Canada strengthens our ability to support SIU teams and underwriters through data-driven innovation,” said Shane Thomas-Lovric, director of vendor and contract management at ISB Global Services. “Together, we deliver tools that reduce fraud, improve underwriting accuracy and help insurers protect their portfolios.”
CARFAX Canada president Shawn Vording said the expanded reach will give insurers an added safeguard. “This partnership with ISB Global puts our trusted VIN Scan capability directly into the hands of more insurers, ultimately helping them stay a step ahead of VIN fraud.”
ISB Global provides information services for the insurance, transportation and supply chain sectors. CARFAX Canada, part of S&P Global, is a national provider of vehicle history, valuation and service data.
