The Automotive Industries Association of Canada is installing three new board directors following elections.
In a statement, AIA Canada confirmed the election of Daryll O’Keefe, Sabrina Thring and Bryan Elwin to a three-year term set to end at the 2029 annual general meeting.
O’Keefe is vice-president of North America strategic business development at Fix Network, a Montreal-based franchising platform operating collision repair, glass and mechanical service banners including Fix Auto, ProColor Collision and NOVUS Glass. Thring is brand president of the collision division within Driven Brands, one of North America’s largest automotive services platforms. Elwin is chief financial officer at Mr. Lube + Tires, a national quick-service maintenance chain with roughly 190 locations across Canada.
The executive committee will also Jason Herle, CEO of Fountain Tire, take on the role of chair. Tony Kuczynski, president and CEO of Mister Transmission, will move into the past chair post. Chris Kinghorn, vice-president of strategy and growth at UAP Inc., moves into the first vice-chair position, and Costa Haitas, president of Auto Service Group, becomes second vice-chair.
Six outgoing directors are also stepping down following the completion of their terms -- past chair Ryan Bruno, president and CEO of CSN Collision, and directors Craig Jalbert of 3M Canada, Jasna Smiljcic of Gates Corporation, Micheline Davies of Canadian Tire, Michael O’Callaghan of Craftsman Collision and Pamela Lee, a senior executive within the Mr. Lube network.
The board sets the strategic direction of AIA Canada, provides operational oversight and represents member interests across the country’s auto care sector, spanning repair, maintenance, parts distribution and training.
