Toronto, Ontario -- Japanese vehicle manufacturer Honda is creating its own company to insure its U.S.-based vehicle owners.
The newly launched Honda Insurance Solutions will offer personal insurance—including auto, motorcycle, home and RV coverage—to Acura and Honda customers across all 50 U.S. states and Washington, D.C.
Operated through American Honda Insurance Solutions, LLC, a wholly owned subsidiary of American Honda Finance Corporation, the agency is headquartered in Irving, Texas.
The program is integrated with the VIU by HUB platform, which allows customers to compare quotes from top-rated carriers and speak directly with licensed agents. According to Honda, the goal is to streamline the insurance process and offer coverage tailored to the brand’s customer base.
Optional OEM parts coverage is also available for auto policies, ensuring repairs are completed using genuine Honda or Acura parts.
“Insurance is a key touchpoint in the vehicle ownership journey… we aim to deliver a superior experience tailored to the unique needs of each customer,” said Petar Vucurevic, president of American Honda Insurance Solutions and senior vice president at American Honda Finance Corporation.
The company said the launch marks the first step in a broader strategy to integrate insurance offerings into Honda’s digital sales and ownership platforms. Future products, Honda says, will focus on safety, convenience and long-term vehicle value.
