That’s a Wrap: Automotive aftermarket company designs magnetic wraps for Tesla’s Cybertruck

The design is reportedly only feasible because of the Cybertruck’s angular design, which allows both for magnetic adherence and prevents the wrap from coming off when the vehicle is moving at high speeds.

Toronto, Ontario – If you’re still looking for a last minute post-Valentine’s Day gift, automotive aftermarket company Cybertruck Covers has introduced a prototype design for magnetic wraps for Tesla’s Cybertruck.

According to the company, the magnetic wraps are reusable and interchangeable, and can be installed without specialized equipment.

The design is reportedly only feasible because of the Cybertruck’s angular design, which allows both for magnetic adherence and prevents the wrap from coming off when the vehicle is moving at high speeds.

While the product is still in the prototype stage, Cybertruck Covers has shared design photos on social media and, according to the company’s website, plans to offer the wrap in a variety of different colours, including: white, steel, black, blue, green, desert, gold, red, rose gold, copper, orange, as well as a colour shift option.

In terms of pricing, a full set of magnetic wraps will cost approximately USD$2,000, regardless of colour. Comparatively, Tesla’s own vinyl wraps for the Cybertruck begin at USD$4,500 and can reach as much as USD$7,500 in pricing.
