Meet Mr. Murray: Jeff Murray named CFO of Boyd Group

Winnipeg, Manitoba — Boyd Group Services has named Jeff Murray as its new chief financial officer.

According to Boyd, Murray has already been serving in the role on an interim basis, following the retirement of Pat Pathipati at the end of 2022.

Murray first joined Boyd’s finance department in  2004 and has served as VP of finance since 2013, where he has been responsible for accounting, tax, risk, disclosure, governance and internal controls. Prior to his role at Boyd, he worked at the accounting firm Ernst & Young for nearly a decade.

“Over the past months as Interim CFO, I have had the opportunity to continue to learn and add value at Boyd. I am extremely excited to be taking on this role in a permanent capacity,” said Murray. “I look forward to working with Tim [O’Day] and the rest of the executive team as we continue growing the business and creating value for our shareholders.”

“Having been with Boyd for over 18 years, Jeff brings an incredible depth of knowledge and understanding of our organization into the CFO role,” said Tim O’Day, president and CEO of Boyd Group. “Along with the entire leadership team, I am excited to continue to work closely with Jeff, as we continue to grow our business, with the goal of doubling the size of the business over the five-year period from 2021 to 2025, based on 2019 revenues,” added Mr. O’Day.

Murray has a Bachelor of Commerce (Honors) degree from the University of Manitoba and is a Chartered Professional Accountant.
