Ingersoll Rand rotary screw compressor demos slated for SEMA

Davidson, North Carolina — October 29, 2015 — Ingersoll Rand experts will be on hand to demonstrate the recently launched UP6S fixed speed rotary screw compressor at SEMA 2015, the company has announced.

Event attendees can drop by SEMA Booth #10131 to see compressed air and tool experts walk through potential advantages of rotary screw compressors, the impact quality air can have on shop operations, and how new air alternatives can assist techs and collision repair centre owners in their daily tasks.

The company says reciprocating compressors have been the predominant source of air at paint, repair and body shops for decades—but don’t deliver the quality air output required by modern day facilities. Oil-flooded rotary screw air compressors provide centres with higher quality air, in an adaptable package that can be used indoors or outdoors, while maintaining lower operating costs, according to the brand.

Ingersoll Rand air compressor specialist Jarrett Affolter, along with other members of the company’s tools team, will touch on the possible benefits of quiet-operating rotary screw compressors, the advantages of clean air for running pneumatic tools, oil-heavy operation of reciprocating compressors and its affect on air quality, and how high discharge temperatures strains reciprocating dryers and filters, affecting their efficiency and impacting the total cost of ownership.
