IBIS unveils 2014 speaker list

Barcelona, Spain — March 24, 2014 — IBIS, the International Bodyshop Industry Symposium, is once again bringing together the greatest global minds to share their knowledge and expertise. Collision Repair magazine is Canada’s official Publisher Partner for IBIS. 

Representatives from across the globe will speak at IBIS 2014 on a range of topics. The full agenda is available here
 
Confirmed speakers for the packed conference agenda include: 
 
Dr. Thomas Aubel
Dr. Aubel is executive vice president mobility at TÃœV Rheinland with global responsibility for the mobility business unit. He has worked in various management roles at TÃœV Süd since 1997 and, most recently, set up TUVTURK with offices in Istanbul. 
 
Dr. Aubel will be revealing his findings from a recent case study in Spain.
 
Sean Carey
Carey established SCG Management Consulting in 2009 and has since consulted at the highest level with all sectors of the automotive claims industry. Currently based in Chicago, Carey has an automotive career spanning over 30 years. From launching Nissan’s Certified Collision Repair Programme in London to working at Fix Auto in the US, Cary is a widely-respected industry expert. 
 
He will discuss the connected car and ask is it a ‘connected or disconnected claims process?’
 
Michael Macaluso
Macaluso is the chief operating officer at CARSTAR Automotive Canada. The leader of the executive management team, Macaluso is directly responsible for the strategic direction and day to day operations of CARSTAR. CARSTAR is a franchised network of 200+ collision and glass centres in all ten Canadian provinces with 2,000 employees.
 
Macaluso will be exploring the challenges of passing family businesses from one generation to the next.
