Thornhill, Ontario — March 24, 2014 — Ontario grappled with bone-chilling temperatures and blizzard-like conditions this past winter, leading to high numbers of tow service calls.
With the colder temperatures increasing the occurrence of vehicle accidents, here is a look at some of the service numbers for CAA South Central Ontario (CAA SCO) this past winter (from December 2013-January 2014):
- Calls for service: approximately 550,000
- Number of tows: more than 206,500
- Batteries replaced: over to 13,500
