Las Vegas, Nevada — November 3, 2015 — The delegates have gathered and the Las Vegas Convention Centre is packed, as the 2015 SEMA Show officially opens its doors.
The New Products Showcase is always one of the biggest draws at the SEMA Show, and this year will likely be no exception. This year’s Showcase is even open to people who aren’t at the show. Complete listings of this year’s New Products Showcase went live on the SEMA Show app on November 3.
The SEMA Show app is a great way to navigate the show, as it includes information on exhibitors, education, ground transportation and other useful tools, including maps and the “Locate Me” feature. Those are great when you’re actually there, but one item, the New Products Showcase, can be used just about anywhere.
Looking through the list of new products, many of the new tech trends are finding their way into products. Need to replace the hood on a vintage Mustang? There is now a carbon fibre replacement available for ’65 and ‘66 Mustangs.
It’s definitely worth taking a look, but there are a lot of entries to dig through. Some of the highlights include a host of new products from 3M, such as the new PPS Color Match Film. The product is applied directly to the vehicle and allows the painter to evaluate colours from any angle and distance.
Also on the paint side, Wipe New premieres its new Wipe New Paint Rescue. The company already manufactures products to restore shine to trim, tires and other parts of the automobile, but the new product claims to restore faded paint to a brand new appearance and keep it that way.
The new Easy Puller from Las Vegas Tool makes the bold claim that it’s the most versatile puller you’ll have in your tool box. The Easy Puller operates by clamping the locking pliers onto any item you want to remove and sliding the hammer quickly along the slide bolt to the end, creating a powerful force that works by hammering out the item rather than hammering it in. Removing the ¼-inch bolt at the upper jaw and removing the slide hammer assembly turns the tool into traditional locking pliers.
Car-O-Liner is debuting Tru-Way as a Car-O-Liner brand, offering frame measuring data, suspension and alignment specifications, covering domestic and import vehicles from the 1940s to present.
