St. John's, Newfoundland and Labrador -- Newfoundland's Collision Clinic has announced the recipient of its annual Enriching Lives Car Giveaway.
The announcement was made in a public LinkedIn post by Sharon Wells, general manager of the two Collision Clinic locations. “The recipient of our 22nd Annual Enriching Lives Car Giveaway Program is … Alana Walsh!”
The annual initiative provides a safe and reliable vehicle to a local individual or family, supported by staff, suppliers and community partners. This is the 22nd year the MSO, which operates two bodyshops in St. John’s, has run the Enriching Lives program.
More than 100 people applied to the initiative this year, though only one winner was selected. According to a representative of the business, the MSO takes a hands-off approach to selecting the winner.
Rather than having the in-house team comb through applications, the winner is chosen by an independent selection committee, which is made up of people unaffiliated with the business.
"Thank you to our Selection Committee: Darren Martin, Rob Wadman-Scanlon, and Len Butt!" she wrote in the post.
She also thanked staff members and supporters. “Thank you to everyone who submitted this year. We look forward to making a difference in the life of another family next year."
